Surrounded by a mother, father, and stepmother all of whom were practicing, published psychotherapists, Allison learned from an early age the importance of self-awareness and having a specific plan in life. She carried that deep knowledge and understanding into college, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in education from Dowling College in Oakdale, New York.
She then worked for seven years as an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher and developed an expertise in the learning process at every level of the education journey. She also holds numerous certifications, recognitions, and awards, including more than 135 hours of special education training, National Honor Society, Martin Luther King Day Readers’ Theatre. A featured Behaviorist for CHAAD of the Palm Beaches, Allison is a frequent presenter on numerous podcasts and media outlets and is regularly asked for input from parent and health magazines— including Parent Guide News, The Dash Podcast, WPTV Channel 5 News, and SEPTA, to name a few.
